Paid on OKX P2P but the Seller Hasn’t Released Crypto? Don’t Cancel
If your bank payment succeeded but the seller has not released crypto, mark the order paid, preserve proof and dispute inside the order.
Checked July 12, 2026. Your interface may use P2P or C2C depending on region.
If your bank payment genuinely succeeded, the first rule is: return to the order, select “I have paid,” and do not cancel or pay twice. Cancelling the platform order does not automatically reverse a bank transfer.
Act in this order
- Confirm the payment is completed in your bank app, not merely pending or shown in an SMS.
- Match the beneficiary, amount and time to the order.
- Return to the P2P order and select I have paid.
- Contact the seller in the order chat so the evidence remains on-platform.
- If the seller still does not release after a reasonable period, open Orders → the order → Need Help and submit a dispute.
OKX’s official guidance says not to cancel after paying and to dispute promptly when the seller cannot be reached: Seller didn’t release after payment.
Evidence to attach
Provide the order number and time, a bank record showing payer, beneficiary, amount and completion time, the seller payment details displayed by OKX, and the in-order chat. If the order already timed out, state the exact payment and cancellation times.
You can mask unrelated balances and transactions, but do not crop fields required to verify identity and payment. Never post full bank details in a public group.
Common branches
| Situation | Correct response |
|---|---|
| You forgot “I have paid” | Mark it immediately; if cancelled, dispute from order history |
| Seller says nothing arrived | Provide completed bank proof; do not send again |
| Beneficiary name differs | Stop additional payment and document the mismatch in the dispute |
Do not move the discussion to Telegram, pay an “unlock fee,” use a refund address from a supposed support agent, or repeat the payment from another account.
